Release Notes
Folder Uploads and One-Way Sync
Upload and Sync entire folders into Vault.
What’s New
Enable easier bulk-file uploads and keep folder structures consistent with the ability to upload entire folders from a Document Management System (DMS) like SharePoint, iManage, Box, and Google Drive directly into Vault.

Why It Matters
This update makes it faster to manage documents by allowing you to upload and sync folders directly from your DMS, eliminating the need for repeated uploads or folder downloads.
How to Use
Admin Configuration
How to Enable
If a DMS needs to be enabled, admins can do so in Settings > Integrations. Once enabled, folder syncing and uploads is enabled to all users by default.
Refer to our Integrations articles for more details.
For iManage OnPrem
To use this feature with iManage OnPrem set ups, iManage admins will need to configure the following settings in the iManage Control Center:
- Enable refresh tokens for Harvey’s registered application
- Set the refresh token expiration to at least 1 year
- Set the access token expiration to 60 minutes or longer
These settings ensure the integration remains active without requiring frequent re-authentication.

FAQs
Q: Can the selected folder have subfolders?
Yes. We do not limit the number of levels in the folder structure.
Q: Does Harvey maintain the folder structure?
Yes, we maintain folder structure.
Q: If a user makes changes inside the vault, will the daily auto-sync override those changes?
No, this is not possible — synced files are read-only so users cannot make changes to the documents inside a synced vault. Any changes made in the DMS will be synced over within a day.
Q: How often does the sync happen?
Once a day (auto sync). Users can also trigger a manual sync at any time, using the Refresh option, unless a sync is already in progress.
Q: How does sync handle password-protected files?
Password-protected files should be handled the same way as in non-synced vaults.
Q: If multiple users are working on a single vault, can multiple refreshes occur simultaneously?
No. Only one sync can run at a time. While a sync is in progress, the Refresh button is grayed out for all users until the ongoing sync completes.
Q: If a review table was built on documents that later get updated via sync, how does that work?
Review tables are not auto-updated when documents are re-synced. Existing tables will continue to reference the old version of documents.
